Overview
The MIS Executive is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and maintaining data to support business operations and management decision-making. The role involves preparing accurate reports, dashboards, and MIS summaries while ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and timely availability.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, compile, and manage data from multiple sources (sales, operations, finance, HR, etc.)
Maintain and update MIS reports, dashboards, and databases on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all reports
Prepare analytical reports, trend analysis, and performance summaries for management review
Monitor KPIs and provide insights to support strategic and operational decisions
Coordinate with internal teams to gather required data and clarify discrepancies
Maintain proper documentation and data filing systems (digital and physical)
Automate reports and improve reporting processes where possible
Ensure data security and confidentiality as per company policies
Support audits, reviews, and management presentations with relevant data
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, advanced formulas, and charts
Ability to prepare, maintain, and automate MIS reports with a high level of accuracy
Working knowledge of data management, validation, and reporting standards
Ability to analyze large datasets and present insights in a clear, structured manner
Experience with Google Apps Script or basic automation (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency
Good communication and coordination skills to work with multiple teams
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
Basic knowledge of databases, ERP systems, or reporting tools (preferred)
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or a related field
Certification or training in data management, MIS, or advanced Excel is an added advantage
Experience
1–4 years of experience in MIS, data management, reporting, or a similar role
Freshers with strong analytical and Excel skills may also be considered
Working Conditions
Full-time, office-based or hybrid role
May require extended hours during reporting cycles or audits
