A Technical Lead – Marketing Cloud is responsible for implementing marketing automation solutions in MC & SFDC environments; possess expert-level knowledge of Marketing Cloud systems; provide optimal and innovative solutions, developing high-quality code and guiding a team of MC devs/sr. devs. A Tech. Lead is expected to possess expert-level knowledge of Marketing platforms, business functions and essentials of systems’ integration.
A Tech. Lead needs to conduct following responsibilities at work –
Billability of half time [20hrs] to Full time [40hrs] per week. Ensure that assigned hours are utilized on allocated projects.
Perform thorough analysis byUnderstanding business/functional needs of the project and correlating it on individual task levels.
Check whether the implementation is possible or not; respecting the SFMC environment’s limitations or governors.
Determine all hidden use cases
Framing workarounds for any identified blockers, challenges or risks
Ideating optimal solutions for complex requirements
Sharing impact analysis results with stakeholders
Develop high quality deliverables with
Working knowledge of Email Studio, Subscriber Management, Automation Studio, Journey Builder and Mobile Studio.
Setup Marketing Cloud Connector & Data Integrations.
Data model and relational database design, SQL development as well as configuration data extensions, Synchronized Data Sources and Subscriber management.
Creation of forms, landing pages, content blocks and any other marketing collateral.
Following Client and MC/SFDC standards/best practices
Perform thorough tests
Fix all bugs reported from QA/UAT
Document design and architecture
Mentor, assist and review peer devs/sr. devs and promote the best engineering practises
Perform time bound R&D for any unknown or newer areas
Ensure devops processes is followed across the team i.e.
All devs/sr. devs are using recommended methodologies
Ensuring code check-in/check-out.
Performing diligent functional code reviews.
Ensure good health of project repos
Facilitate proactive communication with project/product teams i.e.
Use all relevant channels – Emails, JIRA, Slack or Zoom meetings
Ensure the team is in sync with project/product/sprint movements
Ensure the team has a definite plan of action for the day
Ensure decent overlap/availability in onshore team’s timezone (whenever required)
Facilitate learning & development for self and the team by
Constantly perform self review and Identify improvement areas
Seek timely assistance from Reporting Managers
Actively contribute to technical presentations, knowledge sharing, training initiatives, buildingPOCs, regular SFMC release notes discussions and help in skill development of peer devs/sr.Devs
Exhibit good interpersonal skills by being a team player, staying approachable and collaborative.
Obtain and maintain certifications related to Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
Required Experience and Qualifications
● Required: Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science
● Required: Min. 7 – 10 years experience in Software Development
● Required: Min. 4 years of hands on experience with SFMC
● Required: Experience with Agile Software Development
● Required: Good in communication and interpersonal skills
● Required: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
● Required: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification
● Required: Experience working with US based / headquartered companies
● Preferred: Salesforce Admin Certification
● Preferred: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification
● Preferred: Thorough understanding of RESTful & SOAP Web Services
● Preferred: Knowledge on SFDC platform, setup and configuration
