We are looking for a Design Engineer (Fresher or 0–2 years experience) who will support senior designers in machine design, documentation, drafting, and cost optimisation for textile processing machines.
This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure in R&D, machine development, and real factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Drafting
Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings
Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
Ensure drawings are ready for production
2. Documentation & ERP
Record machine data, revisions, and changes
Upload drawings, BOMs, and revisions to ERP or company network
Maintain proper drawing version control and organization
3. Operations Support
Assist senior designers on ongoing projects
Help with R&D modifications and improvements
Visit the shop floor to understand practical challenges
4. Vendor & Cost Optimization
Communicate with vendors for components and pricing
Find alternative parts to improve cost and performance
Help reduce overall machine cost without affecting quality
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of SolidWorks
Understanding of mechanical drafting
Basic knowledge of fabrication processes
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn and take responsibility
Eligibility
Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering
