Job Summary

The Team Leader – Exports & Tender Department will be responsible for managing export operations and government tender activities end-to-end. This role involves leading and supervising the team on a daily basis, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, handling export and tender documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving successful participation in domestic and international tenders. The role carries full accountability for the day-to-day performance, quality of work, and outcomes of the team.

Key Responsibilities
Export Operations

Manage all export activities including order processing, documentation, logistics, and statutory compliance

Prepare, verify, and approve export documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (COO), BL/AWB, and LC documentation where applicable

Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHAs, banks, insurance agencies, and overseas clients

Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, and international trade regulations

Track shipments, manage timelines, and resolve export-related operational issues

Tender Management

Identify, analyze, and evaluate government and institutional tenders from portals such as GeM, CPPP, PSU, and State Government portals

Handle the complete tender process including bid preparation, online submission, clarification responses, negotiations, and follow-ups

Coordinate with technical, finance, legal, and production teams for accurate tender documentation

Ensure strict compliance with tender terms, eligibility criteria, conditions, and submission timelines

Maintain and monitor tender records including EMDs, PBGs, contracts, work orders, and compliance documents

Team Leadership & Accountability

Lead, mentor, supervise, and control the exports and tender team on a daily basis

Be accountable for the overall day-to-day performance of all team members, including recognition of good work, monitoring of shortcomings, and implementation of corrective actions

Assign daily tasks, track progress, ensure work accuracy, and meet deadlines

Train team members and interns on export procedures, tender processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements

Ensure discipline, coordination, and efficient workflow within the department

Reporting & Internal Coordination

Prepare MIS reports, performance summaries, and status updates for management review

Coordinate closely with sales, production, finance, accounts, and documentation teams

Support internal audits, statutory audits, and compliance reviews with complete and accurate documentation

Escalate operational, compliance, or team-related issues to management with proposed solutions

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related discipline

2–4 years of hands-on experience in export operations and government tender handling

Prior experience in team leadership or supervisory roles is preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of export documentation, logistics, and international trade procedures

Practical experience with government tenders and e-procurement platforms

Proven leadership, team management, and decision-making skills

Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination abilities

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work with interns, junior staff, and cross-functional teams

Salary & Compensation

Salary will be strictly based on work proficiency, skills, experience, talent, and ability to generate business

Salary range: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month plus benefits on business generating

Final compensation will be decided after evaluation and interview
