Overview
LRL India Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for an experienced Pattern Maker. As part of our team, you will be required to study blueprints and design models, create paper templates, and design the final pattern for mass production according to our designs.
The pattern maker is expected to have the ability to Craft patterns on woven, jersey, and knit fabrics, according to the western style for both men and women apparels in line with the current western trends. To ensure success as a pattern maker, you should have extensive experience with pattern design, fine motor skills, and a good eye for detail. A top-class pattern maker perfectly translates the ideas of the designer into a reliable and repeatable pattern.
Working Days: Mon to Sat
Working Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Responsibilities:
– Make precise patterns from sketches
-Meeting with product designers to discuss the base design.
-Creating rough-draft templates using computer drafting software and freehand techniques.
-Measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required.
-Double-checking the pattern dimensions and style.
-Sending the initial pattern for a manufacture check
– Inspect quality and make repairs
– Work with design and production teams
– Help source and manage materials
– Track patterns and changes
-Meeting with designers to review the final product.
-Reporting back to company managers
Requirements:
– 2+ years experience in pattern making
-Strong working knowledge of the garment industry and markets in the USA, UK and Europe.
– Expertise with techniques, construction and patterns
– Attention to detail and quality standards
-Proficient with computer drafting software including CAD
– Knowledge of fabrics and sewing methods
– Willingness to learn new skills
– Ability to communicate and collaborate
– Organized with good time management
