Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to manage sourcing and purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies required for food processing operations. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards.Source and procure raw materials (grains, spices, oils, additives, etc.), packaging materials, and consumables.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely order placement as per production requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.Coordinate with accounts department for invoice verification and payment processing.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
2–5 years of procurement experience in the food processing or FMCG industry.
Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally).
