Overview

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. You will ensure the smooth operation of user workstations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to users for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Respond to support requests via phone, email, or in-person and resolve them in a timely manner.
Maintain and update IT asset inventory.
Assist in user account creation, password resets, and access permissions.
Perform system updates, patches, and routine maintenance.
Collaborate with network and server teams for escalated issues.
Document support activities, solutions, and maintain knowledge base articles.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
Proficiency in Windows and basic knowledge of macOS and Linux.
Familiarity with Active Directory, MS Office, remote support tools.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, MCP, or equivalent preferred.
1–2 years of experience in a desktop support or similar role.
